In Memory of Elizabeth Fleming (1976-2010)
My wife past away in December 2010 from Metastatic
Melanoma. She was stage 3 in 2005 right after we got married, and was clear till 2009. Sadly, the
treatment options available were totally useless to us and our doctors did not recommend trials
till later on. Sadly most of the approved drugs did nothing. We really need to push the trial drugs
and combinations of them and somehow be able to let patients take the risk of trying combinations
of drugs without all the red tape. My wife Elizabeth was only 34. She was always a happy person
despite her illness and was an amazing person and someone eveyone loved and those who only met her
a couple times always remember her smile, even though she was dealing with this sickening
disease.
