In Memory of Gregory Scott Maur (1967-2006)
Our beloved son Gregory discovered a mole on
his shoulder in 2001. He had surgery to remove it and was diagnosed as melanoma. He then after a
short time went to have more invasive surgery done around the mole that was removed. Four and a
half years later he had a tumor removed from the lymph nodes area under his arm and was then
diagnosed that the melanoma metastasised.Gregory went to the Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburg,Pa.
and the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland for numerous treatments and several
clinical trials with no success. He was then accepted as a patient to the M.D. Anderson Cancer
Center in Houston, Texas and was waiting to be admitted, but time ran out due to his health
deteriorating. There is no greater love than a parent for their child and no greater heart ache
than losing that child. Greory was a loving, caring and thoughtful son. We miss him dearly and he
will live in our hearts forever. Our lives have changed forever. Until we can be together again he
is in the hands of Jesus.Gregory was 39 years old.
